Most of our products are incredibly delicate, they are made from fragile, highly specialized materials that need to be soft enough to wear against the skin but also strong enough to perform a job. Having said that, we recommend to always hand wash your lingerie using the following steps:
- Gather your pieces sorting them by color.
- Fill a clean basin, tub or even a plastic bucket with lukewarm water.
PRO TIP: If you are washing blood out of underwear use ice-cold water. Hot or warm water will set stains into the fibers.
- Add your delicate laundry detergent to the basin or baby shampoo.
- Submerge your pieces into the soapy water.
- Agitate the water a little with your hands, nothing too dramatic just a light stirring motion.
- After the allotted time, hand clean any areas needing extra attention-
- Rinse your lingerie until you are sure it is free of cleanser.
- Lightly squeeze any excess of water out of your lingerie. Don’t wring, don’t twist and don’t ball it up.
- Now you can hang your lingerie to air dry or lightly press it between two celan, cry towels. You can also lay your garments flat on a clean towel instead of hanging them up.
*If the garment you are washing is a corset don’t submerge it into the water. Lightly scrub it with a delicate bar soap and follow 7, 8 and 9 steps. If you need to iron the garment, use steam and a clean wipe.
